I got a new camera today. Should serve for some inspiration. It's a Canon 40d and it weighs a ton! For the next month or so there are going to be a lot of practice shots, this is my first DSLR. Hopefully something creative will come out of it : )

HAPPY NEW YEAR. No critiques please... this was a hand held shivering attempt with a small camera to capture the moment. This is Lake Shore Drive. 4 lanes of traffic moving at all times. I have never seen people park there cars on LSD and get out. Much less open bottles of champagne and toast with the cops right there. Nevertheless it was happening all at the same time as the Navy Pier fireworks. I have been to some great parties but this was the coolest midnight I have had in a long time.
